I’m no foodie. In fact, I don’t care much about food as long as I have just enough to keep moving. But I do find some foods pretty, especially fruits and vegetables – and that might come as a surprise for those who know me, since I rarely eat them. Too bad, I guess – they are certainly good looking but not tasty enough to be on my plate 🙂
Anyway, for this week’s assignment I knew I had to figure out a way to be creative with what I had at home or was easily accessible, because going to fancy restaurants is not my thing. So I started by cooking some traditional Brazilian birthday party’ sweets and then got some doughnuts from the very famous “Doughnut Time”. The “healthy lot” was basically with ingredients that I could use for cooking (if inspired), so buying them would not be a waste. And strawberries…well, they are sexy and always great to photograph.
Food photography is all about presentation and make the audience want to taste that dish. I hope your mouth is watering by the time you finish seeing the results of my work. If that happens, my mission is accomplished!
*Note: Since Bruno was traveling last weekend, it was decided he’ll get an extra week to finish the assignment. Meanwhile, I’ll take this week off to plan and organize the last details of our much anticipated trip to the USA – less than 4 weeks to go now!!
Oh, and here are a couples of behind the scenes photos. See you all very soon, as usual 🙂
